Greetings!  I am proud to finally be writing my first travel blog post on my new website.  It’s aptly titled ‘Traveling With My Mother’ because that will be the focus of this blog.  My mother is undoubtedly one of the best travel companions.  In the past two years alone we’ve been to Europe three times.  Next week we’re going to Mexico.  We always find ourselves thirsting for a new adventure.  You can expect colorful updates from me via this website because I am a millennial who has managed websites and Mom still quizzically looks at her iPhone.  Mom will probably supply pithy dialogue for me to share.

I have to admit I’m behind the game in sharing some of our travels.  I will, however, bring you up to speed and prepare you for what is ahead.  Just after Christmas we took our second Viking River Cruise.  We hit Budapest, Hungary; Slovakia; Austria; and Passau, Germany.  Here’s us cheesin’ on top of the Hohensalzburg Fortress in Salzburg, Austria:

Can you tell we’re related?  Sometimes we get mistaken for sisters when I’m not looking like an 18 year old.  This past summer someone thought I was 15.  Apparently not old enough to drive.  Mind you, this will be helpful in my 40s and 50s.

I could go on for days about that trip and our previous two across the pond (another Viking River Cruise and a quest around London, Paris, and Rome).  Instead, I will write about our upcoming travels.  We are going to Mexico next week to tan our Irish skin and celebrate my 24th birthday.  It’s Mom’s second time to Cancun and my first trip to Mexico.  It will probably be different than her honeymoon.
